Also at the track ive never seen an STI run a 13.3 the lowest ive seen them run is a 13.6 to get them to 13.3 i woudl think there would have to be some serious clutch abuse
goin on and not many people are willin to do that to there cars. I think that there is some serious favoritism goin on in that magizine. They used to be an all muscle car magizine and that they realize where the money is they are goin towards a ricer magizine.
Personally, I wouldn't discredit a car's capabilites simply because I think the owners' wouldn't "abuse the clutch."

As far as the times on the Cobra, I managed to look these up:

Automobile Magazine - 13.4
Car and Driver - 12.9
Motortrend - 12.84
Road and Track - 13.3

Hot Rod isn't the only magazine getting low 13's with the Cobra. Maybe the Stang is just inconsistent?

Nah, just really easy to be inconsistent in a car with that engine and rear suspension combo. Track prep plays a HUGE part. Some of the mags actually warm the times and do a clutch drop, some just stand on it from a stop. Some use quarter mile tracks, some use fifth wheels.

Actually I never really understood the term muscle car. Take the original GTO for instance, it ran like a high 14. Big friggin deal. I had an 82' 280ZX Turbo in high school and all my 5.0 driving friends loved to call it a rice mobile even though it would beat just about every 5.0 in my high school. I love fast cars, period. Why must people over classify things.

lol, your entire statement is pointless.all Muslcle cars may not start out fast but they damn sure have alot mor potential then you 280zx did. Also i highly doubt that your 280zx was a mid 14 second car, which is what the old 5.0 pulled. A muscle car in my opinion in an older car like 75'. Even though i sometimes call my car a muscle car in reality when people think muscle car they dont think of ls1's or lt1's or newer mustangs. I like all types of cars, if there fast then there fast period. I happen to like the look of the american cars better but that is just preference.

Oh yeah, this is just a random thing but i felt like saying it. A friend of mine who owns an ls1 also owns an early model talon AWD i think like a 92 or something, stock they are listed at i think low 15's or high 14's. he got a boost controller and a couple other cheap mods and that sucker ran a 12.89 at the track the other day, i was shocked as hell. Now, even though it isnt the pretiest car and its certainly isnt a muslce car it is still fast so i give respect where it is derserved.

Obviously you know nothing about the Nissan L28 motor. Solid as a rock and very responsive to tuning. 5.0's mid 14 second cars? Since when. Hell, I know a guy with a substantial amount of bolt-ons on a 5.0 that runs a 14.6 1.4. And don't say driver because he also owns an 11 second 5.0 on NOS. stock 5.0 mid 14 second car, hah! It's like all the jackasses that say they run 13's in basically stock 2001 + Gt's. I hear this all over the internet yet every week I see dozens of slow ass GT's roll up and run high 14's andlow 15's. I guess it's just the bad San Antonio GT owners though.

I smell rice brewing, lol. " 5.0 on NOS" nos is a brand name not what all nitrous is called. And 5.0 can pull 14.7 to 14.9 bone stock. Sry i shouldve of said mid to high 14 second times. And you then continue to be an ass by saying that the new GT's arent fast. I know its rare but they have been know to pull very high 13 second passes. Most only pull lows 14's but that is still good. The 5.0 is probaly one of the cheapest motors to mod and get good times with. And the old nissans were slugs plain and simple. When you get a clue then come talk to me or for that matter when you actully have a fast car period.

When I actually have a fast car? Anytime you want to get your POS F body spanked by 1.6L four banger drive your butt down to San Antonio Raceway. I know the difference between the nitrous kits and it is a NOS brand kit he has dipshit. I'm not trying to start anything just stating what I know. BTW, I used to own a 1993 Z28, it was the biggest POS I have ever owned. I actually sold my 280ZX to get it when I was 17 and I have regretted it ever since. As I said before, you know nothing about Nissans.

I never claimed to know anything about nissans. I know that the old 300zx's that wernt turboed were 15 second cars if that. And the 280zx is even older and i doubt they degressed when making the 300. And how is my car a POS? It acutlly looks and sounds better than you hybrid everwill. It is also most liekly faster not saying it is just saying most likely is. And why if i may ask was you 93 Z28 a POS? was it to slow( dont make laugh) or just had mechanicall dificculty. By the way 93's were the ones that had problems in 94 is when they fixed alot of the messed up shit. I dont have a time slip but may be able to run my car on saterday if it doesnt snow here( they close the track on first snow fall), but how fast has your car gone and what do you have done to it. i will tell you if you can beat me strait up no BS i wont lie ill tell the truth.
