Ok...yeh....i'm sure your right. I know it cant be bolts, cuz i have removed the calipers and reassembled them and still had the exact same problem.

And NO...I dont slam on the brakes at 150!!! My mom was driving the car for a good 5-6 months so i dont know WHAT happened! She prolly wouldnt tell me if she knew! So its up to me to fix it.

And the best on the car rotor refinishing i can find around here is $80 a pair. I'll probably do it at the end of the month.

Is it a good practice to get new brake pads when you resurface your rotors? A friend of mine said so, but i dont believe him, unless they are almost wore out.

replace your pads at the same time, your car will thank you

and if you have a problem with brake dust or squeaking, put a ceramic pad on, you'll thank yourself.

any other q's while we're at it?

For $80 a pair, you could just get NEW rotors. OEM or Brembo blanks would do the trick. And yes, its a good idea to get new pads, as your pads have formed to the surface of your warped rotors, so they wont mate properly with smooth, undamaged rotors.

your saying i can get two bran new rotors for $80? Where is this? And whats the quality???

Would advance auto parts or autozone have ceramic brake pads? Whats the advantage of them besides low low dust? Stopping power same as oem?

brembo blanks are of OEM quality but usually a little cheaper than buying from a dealer. $30 apeice ain't bad.

hhmm...not sure about those. Even though it looks like a great price,i also gotta figure in installation which i already read isnt that easy.

How would iknow if my current rotors have or have not been refinished before? Would there be no groove around the circumference of the rotor? If that case, there is a slight recess where the actuall surface of the rotor is. Like someone has alreaady resurfaced them but didnt do the edges fully.

Installation is a snap. All you have to do is take off the wheel, un-bolt the caliper, move it out of the way, remove the 2 rotor retaining screws, pull of the rotor, put on the new one, screw it in, bolt the caliper back in place. Couldn't be easier, probably a half-hour job.

thats all fine well and good, as long as you don't forget to turn the brandnew rotor before installing it on the vehicle

umm..no..my rotors are pressed on ones. I also have a hub nut thats torqued harder than a titantic bolt! So i'll have to rent a breaker bar and a axle puller to get the rotor off. Its a pain in the arse. I'd rather have them turned for 80 bucks. I know i can do it, i just dont feel like it and there's risk involved.
