Painting Brake Calipers
I was wondering what the best kind of paint to use to paint brake calipers was.
Sorry if this is not the right section to post in but I wasnt sure.

I did this once and had great success with polyeurethane paint.
It comes in a lot of colors, it can handle temps of 350º-450º, it is self levelling so it is easy to put on, and it's super cheap.
It is really stinky, so do it way out-doors, maybe not in the garage. I had a bit of a buzz when I was done. It was on my car for 2 years, and never faded or chipped off.

If you're painting old brake calipers, you'll definitely want to sand or sandblast them so that the paint sticks better. Cleaning away any rust or corrosion so that the paint can stick, regardless of the paint type, is a must.
Yes i was planning on sanding everything really well before painting. Do the Plastikote and VHT paints give the caliper a kind of glossy look? And can I buy these at an Auto Zone or Advanced Auto?
My buddy has his calipers painted blue and they look really dull and they even looked dull when he first painted them.
Thanks

here's what I did, I went to Pep Boys, bought their Red Caliper Paint, I sanded down all my calipers the best I could and I painted them nice. When its wet you'll see brush strokes but let it dry and in a few minutes it will be a very nice gloss look. It looks very very nice, I will try to get pics up.
