i hate philips head screws

psshhhhh. did a brake change with a friend on a 9 3accord, the bitches onthe rear woukldnt come off. so we just got out a settling torch and melted them off. you really dont need them anyway, most american cars dotn have them, and ive worked on some DSM's and and couple nissans that didnt have them.

thanks for the tips i dont feel like spending the money on the tools right now so ill just drill them out and try not to worry about it when im driving

think about it this way, is there any way in hell that rotor is gonna fall off when there are studs going thru it and lug nuts torqued on them with wheels over top? no, and if they come off, ill come to your house and kiss your ass. a helpful tip to keep the rotor from being wobbly when putting the caliper back on is to put to of the lug nuts on just to hold the rotor down

ok i drilled out those screws and the rotor is stiiillllll stuck on there. i would have tried banging on it with a hammer but i dont know what that will do to it. is there a trick to getting rusted on rotors off or is there any nuts/bolts im missing. i took off the tire, the brakes, then drilled out those two screws. is that it? i know my three lugs will hold for a while but i dont want to push my luck.......thanks

If you are replacing the rotors, why not hit them with a hammer to get them off??

im not replacing them..........yet. im just changing the studs. is that how i would go about getting it off even if im not replacing them?
