On my civic (1992 DX sedan) the jumper is tucked up underneath the passenger's side dash/kick panel seam area. With the car off and the key out of the ignition, I took a paper clip and used the clip as a jumper between the holes. Then you put the key in the ignition and turn it to accessory level. The light will flash long for tens and short for ones and give a long pause between codes. If you download the Helms you can interpret the code you are given. Or I guess you could always ask it here.
