what year is your car? I'm assuming it's 92 or newer... Under the glove box, all the way to the side, there is a green cover on 2 plugs. Grab the plug that has two wires in it, throw a paper clip in it to jump the wires, turn the car to on without starting it. Your CEL will flash. Long is a ten, short is a one. So 2 longs and 6 shorts is 26. Then look at the manual and it will tell you what it is...

that's your problem right there, Cheech! Running a sohc ecu on a dohc engine? At least run a b18b ecu on there. That wouldn't have the vtec, but it at least is trying to run something right! Get the ecu ASAP.

it will make all of your problems go away.(unless something is really fawked up) your making the car run the way it isnt ment to be run, you cant run a sohc ecu on a dohc motor, makes sence huh? look on ebay they are pretty cheap.
what code are you throwing?
