Default Cooling troubles :(

I recently purchased a '90 Integra GS 4-Dr. I've had nothing but problems with the cooling system since I got it. I changed the thermostat, that worked for a while, then I blew 3 hoses, changed those. Now neither of my fans are working...if I jump it straight to the battery then my smaller works...I'd rather not have to do that though. I've tried finding the problem, there are just too many wires to look at.

Anybody know a fix for this or have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Terrell

blowing hoses!? first, make sure the cooling system is free and clear. a backup somewhere is creating the pressure to pop hoses. not to mention that they are (i bet) old hoses that should be replaced. your fans may or may not be related. if they are, colling jam is around the temp sensor. if not related, check sensor to verify that it is working properly. might also have the radiator pressure tested, common area for crap to build up and defect the system.

Thanks for the help, finally gave up though, took the car into a shop. I feel like an idiot now. Paid $80 for them to tell me I didn't bleed the system right after replacing hoses and there was an air pocket in the system.

I bled the system and filled it until a constant stream was coming out of the bleeder valve...any idea what I might have missed?

Thanks again,

Terrell

the best way to rid the system of air is just let the engine run for like 20 mins with the rad cap off. always worked for me at least.
