P.S. i wouldnt DARE put anything less than 97 ron in my car as it runs like a ford fiesta towing a caravan. how your cars run on fuel less than 90ron is beyond my comprihension. dear me 10 litres of decent fuel to a tank and you only drop the octane rating by about 2 ron. if you can get any racing fuel stick 5 litres to your tank fulls even and youl notice that your car drives like its brand new again.

We probably DON'T get less than 90 RON. Published 'octane' numbers are different. Here they post the average of RON & MON, where MON is lower. They don't post what the RON is. A difference of 8 isn't unusual, so your English 95 RON regular could be about the same as our 87 regular.

ah im with ye now, thought it was a bit stange like!! i asumed that was why your fuel was a lot cheaper than over here but it would just seem that wer more stingey with the tax lol
