S2000 "Engine Start" button install?
you could just be bondish and buy this relay that opens and closes when you swipe a magnet over it. just have it between the start switch and your power. you get in the car, swipe your magnet over your hidden relay and push a button. i would try and put a magnet in a ring or a pen, something like that....but i sort of weird, might not be what your looking for.
if you want i can try and find the original link where i read about it.

alright you guys, i just did a system on a buddys car. this is what i did to do a push button. I purchased an Ignited Push button, DEI 556T Timer unit.
The dei allows a timer of 25 seconds after he has swiped a magnit over the sensor places somewhere inside his car. The magnetic field allows the timer to trigger for 25 seconds. Within 25 seconds the car can be started.
as metioned before wire push button, ground to button, button to relay make sure when button pushed, ground is present
Relay terminal 85 - output trigger from the timer.
Relay terminal 86 to push button (shows ground when pushed)
Relay terminal 87 to Constant 12volts Fused with 30 amps.
Relay terminal 30 to start wire, Motor side.
timer unit setup
constant 12
ground
timer trigger wire with pulse (by magnetic key card or magnet)
Normally closed to Push button
Trigger/ status out to bypass module and to the relay.
sounds confusing but its easy to do. a little reading takes u along way.

It would be cool if you didn't need a key with the push start and your car had a built in sensor to detect your key fob like most infiniti's have. I coudln't imagine that would be so hard to rig up. that and if you were smart you could tuck away your ignition wires elsewhere, so that thieves couldn't get to your car. It would be alot of work, but I bet the result would be awesome.
that is possible with the elimination of your key. you would just need something has has a big RF signal to trigger something to allow ur car to start. Although the new infinities are nice, the keyfobs that they use such as smartkey makes it a biatch to install remote starts (when it has push start)
there is no other way to move ur ignition wires, they are there for a reason, to make them impossible to hotwire, u can put them across a metal loom then no1 can cut that. its not easy to cut with a side cutter.

I went to a shop and had them install a complete setup in my CRX. I have shaved door handles with door poppers so I just carry the door popper fob and no key. I get in my crx and flip the hidden toggle switch and push the engine start button. It turns right over. the whole setup (excluding the door poppers) and install was 100$ been done like this for a few years and car has never been stolen. Its been broken into and messed with, but theres no ignition for the key or screw driver to go into. BTW the theifs broke my back hatch window both times. but the car has never been stolen. and its my racer so nothings in it to steal but the car its self!!!
now then peeps, all this talk about why have a start button and that its easier for thiefs to nick . its all wrong(scaremongering),i have a ignition switch with protect cover and and red led also starter button on same panel, aircraft style.it looks the dogs nuts, get in car flick switch red light comes on press starter button and im gone! all protected by alarm ofcourse! and for xtra security i have a fuel cut off switch hidden
)car will not start without it switched on!),im in the process of linkin my radio, interior light, heater to a 3 led switch panel i have installed, then disable the steering lock
(a lil catch at bottom of barrel)its gonna be the shizzle ma nizzles ............"Get Some Nuts"....Mr T.:loco:

i've known 4 people with push button starts, all 4 vehicles were stolen within 3 months of installing the button start
