Why put pins in a VIS hood I have one and its perfect. They tell you to pin it just because its a liability. the chances of the hood flying off when your driving down the road are slim to non.

When i bought mine from BodykitsNW this is what Andy said.

"Hood pins u can do yourself. Just install them on your upper radiator
support. Make sure your hood is the way u want it first before you do any of
this. Then put some white out on the top of the hood pin holder that sticks
out from the uppoer radiator support and it will mark the hood. Then drill
the holes."

A marking crayon works better. Not crayola but the kind you buy at hardware and parts stores. It doesn't dry and you can just build up the marking crayon on the tip of the pin and it will mark quite well.

Back in my ricer days I did them my self and used a rotozip. I put the pins on and the hood and then laid the hood on the pins and marked where I needed to drill. It actually worked pretty good, accept I had hood pins. :ghey:
