Hard choices...

Crx dunno what year? from the pic it seems like a 89 dx but I could be wrong
Engine B16a with broken connecting rod
Transmission :Y1
rollcage 6 points
intake
filtre itg (wtf?)
headers (which one???)
exaust 2 1/4
suspension bushing and brakes are new
suspension ajustable
shocks KYB AGX
strut tower neuspeed
mags 11lbs
dunlop fm901 with less that 160 miles on it
black interior
for 4000$ CAD or... for you americans out there: about 2800 USD
I feel like I should jump on it and give up on the sedan (use it as a winter beater)
Or I could get myself a 1995 Nissan 240 sx se, manual 5 speed, gold/black and grey, Xplod sound system, Pioneer speakers, clean, new brakes, excellent driving condition at 188,000kms. for roughly twice as much...
The Honda fan in me screams CRX, but I dunno...
Asking for your opinion is pointless but I'll do it anyways.
any pro cons in the 95 240sx se?
Nooooooo not a 88!!! I refuse
not the bastard child of the 2nd gen Crx...
Won't be too hard to fix... get the engine out. take it apart. If I'm worth my 2¢ in basic mechanics the head and valves will be alright. Worst case would be having to get a new block. But then again could be fun to build a LSVtec.
Anyways... anything I should know about the 88 Dx before commiting?
Now to get me some auto-x action... too bad there's only drag racing strips around here

there is nothing wrong with the 88 (ive had 3) its either a dx that has been rewired with mpfi or an hf that came with, definitely not an si. it but that doesnt matter any more, in order to see what kind of condition it is in ur gonna have to rip the engine apart, replace the rods, check the pistons and cylinder walls. not too much work, nice body paint is good id say go for it for that price if youve got an extra grand or 2 to throw some work into the engine completely rebuilding it, or even if u need a whole new long block for the b16 itd only cost u about 500 dollars US. so not a big deal.
Here is the trick to fixing that CRX:
1: Buy a B16 longblock from hmotorsonline for $450 plus shipping.
2: Swap the new block into the car.
3: Sell the old head on ebay and the old block on partstrader. The head will probably be bid up to around $400, and the block can be sold for around $150.
As you can see, you can recover most if not all the money spent on replacement parts. Thank god for suckers that buy engine parts on ebay.

yes you're right the lightest body.
But in totally stock form (not the case here)
It came with slight mecanical differences making it harder to source parts from other crx for it?
Anyways.
Somebody made a better offer to the seller so that project isn't mine. :|
Went and bought a 240Sx SE 95 instead... So I'll be parting, partly mind you, the Honda family.
