stroker kits ????s
what are the advantages disadvantages of getting a stroker kit, does it just lengthen the stroke length of ur piston right, what would be entailed, thinking of doing this to my b16 once its on the stand and leaving it with a n/a setup or shooting boost at it with a complete forged reinforced bottom end.
and is this a horrible price or about what id be looking at:

Disadvantages: Expensive replacement parts, screwy rod/stroke ratio in certain kits, high price.
does it just lengthen the stroke length of ur piston right, what would be entailed,

Basic stroker: (good, very expensive)
Replaces the con rods and crank with a shorter length con rod and a longer stroke crank which allows the piston to travel lower into the block. This process usually hurts the rod/stroke ratio.

Deck Plate: (best, extremely expensive)
An aluminum plate that is welded to the top of the engine. Requires installation of custom taller cylinders and a custom longer-stroke crankshaft. Con rods are replaced with high-strength units. This allows the piston to travel both lower and higher then it used to. This allows generally allows the engine to keep a favorable rod/stroke ratio. Since you have to install custom cylinders, you might as well bore those out to increase displacement also.
