Advantages: Higher displacement=more power.
Disadvantages: Expensive replacement parts, screwy rod/stroke ratio in certain kits, high price.

does it just lengthen the stroke length of ur piston right, what would be entailed,
Yes, it lengthens the stroke. This can be acheived two ways:

Basic stroker: (good, very expensive)
Replaces the con rods and crank with a shorter length con rod and a longer stroke crank which allows the piston to travel lower into the block. This process usually hurts the rod/stroke ratio.

Deck Plate: (best, extremely expensive)
An aluminum plate that is welded to the top of the engine. Requires installation of custom taller cylinders and a custom longer-stroke crankshaft. Con rods are replaced with high-strength units. This allows the piston to travel both lower and higher then it used to. This allows generally allows the engine to keep a favorable rod/stroke ratio. Since you have to install custom cylinders, you might as well bore those out to increase displacement also.

complete forged reinforced bottom end. and is this a horrible price or about what id be looking at:

Stroker kits generally come with high-strength forged parts. Toda stroker kits are good quality kits, however ALL stroker kits are going to be very expensive.
