right now i have the d16y8 swap, complete exhaust, no ac, cold air intake.
I hate to tell you this, but that doesn't sound anything like a performance exhaust. Does it have an exhaust manifold... or a header? You can only have one.

yepper exhaust manifold is otherwise known as a header, same as ur intake manifold is sometimes referred to as ur throttle body

Not exactly. Typically (in common usage) an exhaust manifold is solid cast and requires a downpipe while a header is made out of welded tubes that replace the manifold and the downpipe.

An intake manifold is an intake manifold. A throttle body is a throttle body. They are not the same peice, the throttle body bolts to the plenum (log looking part that the runners, in our case four, come off of) of the intake manifold.

 believe me guys, i know what i'm talking about. i meant to put parenthesis around the word header. it is performance thank you very much too, if it wasn't - it wouldn't have cost 1200 and everthing on it wouldn't say blue streak.

and dead poet : the guy i was talking to you about is my best friend here in redding and he knows a guy with the AIM name Dead Poet 187.

It sure doesn't sound like it.

Ok, a mock dual exhaust on any I-4 is not performance, especially when it still has a cat converter. The $1200 just says that some shop made a sucker out of you. For $1200, you could have easily bought a DC header, a Greddy SP exhaust, and had a custom test pipe made to replace the cat.

Do you actually have a header, or are you still using the factory cast iron manifold?

i have a header. i can tell by two reasons, it says header on the receipt and it is not the stock manifold! the blue streak stuff is not some piece of shit either. it is custom made in northern california and is really only used here and here only. believe me, its a great system and it was worth every penny.

here is what the receipt says :

parts :
Bluestreak Cat. Converter 2.25" exhaust system (two glasspacks and stainless tip) - 280.95
Bluestreak Exhaust Manifold (Header) - 239.20
pipe flang gasket - 9.44
converter red - 120.00
02 sensor - 60.23

Labor :
replace exhaust system from after head pipe back, new cat converter and 2.25 performance exhaust with two glasspacks and tip - 95.00

replace exhaust manifold w/ header, flange gaskets, and 02 sensor 165.65

NOTE : We lost the set of keys that the customer first left with us - we had to make them a new set - we also brought car to a smog shop for them at no charge and it smogged good - and we adjusted the clutch cable

smog - 34.10

Total - 1075.55 Paid by visa

OK it was only 1100, i was off a bit.
