Lots of work probably only seen it once or twice. Not a simple thing to do lots of fabricating. Also its not very strong system so why? some people who have done mini me's and zc conv. in the wagon have found the 4wd limits. Seen a EVO drivetrain and motor in a civic I would say if you are going to go through all that fabrication might as well do it right.

ya i could see how it could take a lot of fabrication. but would the transmission Bolt up to a sohc or a dohc? and now i am not sure but if you were to put a real load onto that would it be able to handle it, or could you rebuild the transmission to do it? i dont know much about all wheel drive but i think that would be pretty bad ass, but i also dont want to be pushing low numbers because my transmission cant handle the load.

the AWD Civic wagons only transfer about 10-15% of the power to the rear wheels - a lot of work for almost nothing

FYI, the AWD Civics have rear axles about the diameter of a penny. The differential is similarly pathetic.

An Evo they are not.

You can't use the CR-V trans and you'd have to spend a few thousand to get the rest to fit.

On top of that, the CR-V drivetrain is not much better then the Civic parts. CR-V rear differentials and axles are also pretty pathetically small (like, "smaller then a Miata" small.)

If you want all wheel drive, buy a Subaru. It's not worth retrofitting any Honda to AWD.

Why cant you use a crv trans? If he has a b-series in his crx he could.
