Default Question about brakes

Well, I was fixing my starter, and I took the power wire off. It then hit a small thin metal tube that had brake fluid in it. All the brake fluid drained out, So I epoxyed thae tube, and it stopped leaking. I then refilled the container on top of the master cylinder. I could here it draining through. Then as usual, I pumped my brakes like 10 to 20 times. But for some reason I still have no pressure on my brake pedal, Why is that?

I would'nt trust epoxy on one of my brake lines. Replace the line you punctured or broke and then re bleed the whole system.

How do I bleed the brakes? What nut is it, and where is it located at?

This is one of the simplest (and very important) maintenances you can do for your car.

First of all, you punctured one of your steel lines, not good; replace it ASAP. A damaged brake system is a serious issue, and driving around without it fixed properly is putting your life and the lives of others at risk.

Second, this will require 2 people to do properly. So find a friend that has done this before, since this will be your first time. Here is a page to help get you started.

Let us know how it goes, and invest in a good service manual (stay away from Chilton manuals, they suck).

Take your car to a competent mechanic. Then, when he asks what the hell you did to your car, blame it on someone else.

the brake system is a very high pressure system epoxy will not hold under the high pressure also do to the fact that there was brake fluid on the metal it will never stick the best thing and the only thing that you can do is to replace the line or have it replaced by a mechanic

Glad you brought us all up to speed on that fact. None of us have a damn clue what's going on .
