Default New here

Sup guys. I'm new to the Honda world, I've been a ford owner my whole life I just sold my 95 4.0 ranger and bought my 91 Honda Hatch. I like it so far. I have a few questions though. What do you guys think a hatch can run with bolt-on's? 17's maybe? I love racing I use to go race my ranger at the strip all the time pulling 10.5 in the 1/8 constantly in stock form, so this car will be alot slower. I would like to get into the 10's in the 1/8th with this car but I know its going to take some money. What can I do to help pep this car up. Here is a pic of my pride and joy as well, my 98 Ranger which I still own.

Here is a pic of my car:

Civics are slow, but so is a 10.x 1/8th mile.

Ditch the stock engine and dump in a blacktop ZC. It's cheap and will get you your 10.x with ease.

It won't. Taking five minutes out of your life to clean up the stock ground points will be just as effective without relying on a band-aid fix.

I agree with Kai, swap in the zc, (unless you got the $$$ to drop in a b series)get some nice'n light 15's or 16's and some bolt-ons. The zc is the easier/cheaper swap and it will get you the times you want very easily. My friends zc crx beat a civic with a b16 in the 1/8th, then the civic took him by half his car in the 1/4 mile. I don't know what bolt-ons, etc., the civic had, but the crx only has a cold air intake, header, and a 2.25 straight pipe with the stock muffler.

Ya I have a DC 4-1 2-3 header, 2.5" exhuast, and a fireball muffler, plus a CAI, and a short throw. You guys think I could have picked up a .5 second with these mods? I was thinking I might have gained 4-5 horsepower.
