Default e-brake?

Ever since I did new rear shoes and put eveything back together my e-brakes barely works. What could be the cause of this, the lines are all tight. Is there an adjustment? Could something be bent? I can't figure it out.

The E-brake is adjustable. THere is a jamnut on a rod behind the handle that you can adjust. Set the handle for 6 clicks and then tighten (I think this is correct). You get to the adjuster by removing the cover that is part of the handle base cover. Another thing-are you absolutely sure that the shoes are properly adjusted? THis one is not as easy to explain, but very important.

I'd be willing to bet the shoes are out of adjustment. Check a service manual for adjustment procedures, I'll probably sound like a jackass if I try to explain it.

They drag when I spin the wheel. I have adjusted them 3 times since I did them so they stay so that they have some drag. So I pull it up and then tighten it? I'll try that, but I was pulling the handle up and it felt like it was fine, it took force to pull it up but it wasn't making the brake engage. How much resistance should there be when I turn the wheels? It worked fine before I did the shoes.
