the b swap is by far the easiest in that generation, and i believe there are people that have.. but it is a messy job and usualy not worth the effort and time it will take

do a b18b and boost... or even b18c and boost for the price you're looking to install it

(if i remember correctly what it will take to install an h/f series into an EF)

yes its been done numoerous times..sEARCH!!.. on HT do a search on this guy, 2point2...he put it in his crx. u know what would make it 10 times easier though. get a h22 motor and then put a b16 tranny on it they make adapter plates and its supposed to be killer..and u can use the bseries mounts (except maybe for the drivers side.

It's a really fun job lol. Just be ready to spend some cash. I was prety much the first one ever to do it besides jeremy from OHC Motoring. I did my swap about 6 months after he did but i turocharged it. I had a 89 Crx Si that was fully built turbocharged. My car dynoed at 604 to the wheels at 20psi and went 10.58 at 122mph with just slicks. All i'am saying is you better be ready to be braeking axles and soforth so save your money.

Downside to a swap of that size into a lightweight EF, is it really will not make a good daily driver, simply because of underteer... The weight in the front is too much for the EF... It would make a sweet drag car tho!

They are 35 lbs heavier actually... In an EG, this is generally true that u wont notice a difference... But in an EF, you would notice a difference... Lets not forget, that our stock EFs here in the U.S. didnt have the B16 stock, and the suspension isnt built for the heavier engines... Well if the B16 is about 30lbs more than our stock, this is fine, the suspension can handle it... But if the H22 is 35 lbs more than that, thats a total 65 lbs, in a car that was designed to handle a much lighter load... So regardless, if u drop in an H22, you will need to upgrade the suspension, as well as the brakes... Plus understeer is not 100% a weight issue, it is also a power issue... If u have too much power entering a turn, and just enough weight to make the momentum, you will have problems...

errr...b16 trans on a h22  whos done this? id like to see please :eh:

back on topic:
get a B series or hell a D16 and turbo it. The H22 is a pain in the ass to "stuff" into an EF. ive help out with H22 swaps on EGs and it was a pain in the ass, worth it for the power/speed? yes, but in my opinion, the B series engines have a lot more potential than the H series when it comes to putting them in civics.
