Default ls problems. clutch problems

My b18 runs really good but for some reason the idle surges. We messed with the vacuum lines but still it didn't fix it. Any suggestions. Also does anyone have a act stage 3 clutch in there car? I think it just keeps stretching the cable for the transmission so it won't engage the clutch so I can shift into gear. Would switching the pressure plate to a stock one reduce pedal effort and strane on the peddle assembly and the cable. It is a puck clutch.

I have the stage 3 Pressure plate (with Street/strip disc) and have worn out one clutch cable after a year of driving/auto-xing it. I just replaced the cable and all is well again. It's best to get a new one from Acura because they are now available with a better lubricant in them and teflon-like coating on the cable itself so it lasts longer.
As far as your surging idle, you should remove the throttle body and reset your Cold Idle Valve (FITV). There is a post in this forum on how to do it.

I just replaced my clutch cable and every time I take it out I have to adjust the cable and it just stretches. I got it through checkers, should I buy one from Honda?

It is best to go with OEM from Acura. The Checker one you have may not be strong enough and the adjusting nut may be slipping.
