Default leaky water pump

Is there any way to stop the leak in my water pump? It leaks from the bottem of the bleed hole and this never happened before. I used gasket maker on the gasket because i thought it was that, nope, its leaking from the hole. Any suggestions? BTw, the pump is new.

there's no "bleed hole" in the water pump. That hole should be permanently sealed. The bleed hole for your cooling system is on the thermostat housing.

Take the pump back and tell them it's faulty. Get a new one. You don't need liquid gasket for your water pump. It should come with a rubber seal.

well you know what? The crx manual said thats what it was. Right under the "top left" of the bolt hole is where it is leaking. The pic isn't in the right position but thats where it leaks.

Honda actually calls it a bleed hole? heh...interesting. I've never heard of anyone using a hole in the water pump to bleed the system. Wierd...well anyway, it's definitely not supposed to bleed coolant.

who can reach a bleed hole in a water pump covered with a timing belt cover? (only way to do that is to remove the crank pulley and belt to get it then you can't bleed it as the engine can't run!) thus, that can't be a bleed hole and must be a publishing error...the bleed bolt is near the thermostat

That is usually what is called a "weep hole". When the pump is worn past its service limits water will weep out of that hole to let you know the pump needs to be replaced. Pretty much all water pumps have them. Never heard it called a bleed hole, that may be what has caused the confusion. Obviously you would not use this hole to bleed the system!!!!
