hey guys.my speedo hasnt worked since i bought the car.
i keep hearing this little noise when i step on the gas,my friend sed it was the spedo cable moving around behind the gauge pod.what are the things that i need to fix it.he sed it didnt work ever since the engine swap.
the speedo and miles meter dont work..........

 

Start by making sure the speedo cable is connected correctly in the transmission and speedo.

But, you most likely just need to pull the cluster off the car, and replace the speedo cable.

 

Same thing happened to me and i had to replace my speedo and cable. But it wasn't that hard to replace.

 

i fixed it.the cable got pulled apart from the gauge cluster so i yanked the **** outa it amd put it back in now it just makes that really annoying spinning noise.on 2 a new problem.now that i hooked up my monster tach again i need a source for the light so i stole the output from my cig lighter."the si had the glow ring around it" so then my cluster wont lite up.even aftere i took it out checked the fuse, ran 2 different damn volto meters on it there all geting power but no light.the clock works but the air controll lights dont work and the gauge lights dont work. whats left to check? if i cant ix it i guess im going to have to go with the lame ricer light status and get one of those litttle neon tubes and stick it in the cluster were the stock lights were so at least i can see for now.little help!!!!!!!!
