clutch installation
i have decided to install the clutch myself...i have a basic idea as to how to install it but i was wondering if neone can show me were i can find a writeup on how to install them on my 91 civic hatch...can anyone help?!?!?
Take out both half shafts then,
TRANNY
1. take off everything on tranny
2. unbolt backside tranny mount off the tranny
3. get all tranny bolts out of mounts
4. pull off tranny
CLUTCH
1. take off pressure plate with 10 mm 12 point socket
2. take off flywheel with 17mm 12pt socket
3. resurface flywheel most likely, otherwise skip #2 and #3
4. Instal new throw-out bearing
5. instal flywheel
6 put the clutch disc and pressure plate on the fly and lightly tighten bolts, put the clutch alignment tool in and then tighten down pressure plate bolts
7. install tranny and everything you took out
8. install half-shafts

Be sure to support the tranny when you remove the mount. BTW: my dealer says that the project takes up to 8 hours to do and the clearances under there are fairly tight. Some techs actually drop everything out.
GET THE HELM-please! You will not regret it. Has saved us a lot of time doing simple things. The wiring diagrams alone are worth the money.
