Default bose convertor...?

whats the sound quality like if i go to a stock headunit on my 01 accord coupe and use a "bose torque convertor" i think they are called. how much do they cost? how many amps do they handle, or maybe that is still based on the headunit? b/c ideally i'd like to amp my subs, amp my tweeters, and amp my 6.5 and 6x9's.
also...if anyone has a 2001 honda accord 2door double din 6disc in dash (or any of the same looking), i MIGHT be interested in purchasing, depending upon the feedback i get about the bose.
thx

If you plan to add external amps, and upgrade your subs, mids, and highs, replace the head unit. Its a cleaner source than the Bose and is universally compatible.
