help on amp installation?????
Hi, can anyone tell me the difference between the two connections? I noticed that I could hook up the amp with the RCA (red and white) from the deck to the amp or connection with the speaker wires. Is one connection better then the other? I need to hook up two amps so I wanted to use the speaker wires for the second amp or should i split the RCA?
the RCA connections provide better sound.
if you want to hook up two amps with a HU that only has a pair of outputs: check to see if one of the amps have a LINE OUT option. if so you would connect the RCA to that amp, then from that amp, another pair of RCA to the other amp.

thanks for all the reply =)
I check to see if I had a line out on the amps and I dont =( so whats better use Y connections(do I lose any sound?) or use the speaker wires for the second amp? oh and with the second amp I'll be powering 2 subs so is it okay to just use the speaker wire connection?

if you havent bought your second one yet, get one with pass throughs. I wouldn't use the high-impedance, (normal speaker wire) jacks provided on an amp. stick with the low impedance and some quality RCA cables.
can't you only use the output from the amp to run another lows amp? i think the signal that comes out will either be hi pass or low pass depending what the crossover is set at on the amp. I just buy h/u's with 3 outputs.
