Default 97 Civic Audio

Whats up guys. Just bought a used 97 Honda Civic yesterday, lovin the car so far. Its basically just a stock car right now. The thing that sucks is it only has the AM/FM stereo. I was looking stuff up online and found the indash single cd player and the alpine cd changer. They both will work with the stock radio. What do you guys suggest i do?? I have a pioneer cd player in my old car i can bring over, but i like the clean look of the Honda OEM one with the rest of the dash. Also, doesnt the cup holder cover get in the way of the dash cd player?? Any words of advice would help.

lots of new head units go up to 40-50 watts in dash. if you aren't going all out on sound equip. you should just replace the head unit all together. You won't have to run wiring all over your car either for a changer. does the 97 have the double din dash for the extra cd player and orig. head unit? I thought that was only in the 00. Plus the aftermarket head units look way better IMO.

i have a sony x-plod deck. two 10" kicker competitions, in the doors i have infinities with the tweeters, and a couple of amps.. the setup is real nice. the deck looks sweet in it..
when i bought my car in '97 the cd player was by the cup holder near the ebrake. which was stupid cause when i wanted to change the cd i had to pull over to take out the cup to put in a cd... very aggravating.:madfawk: but i took out the cd player and you can put the extra dash thing that came in the new civics for holding what ever in that place..

do you know what the distortion rating is on it, cause I will bypass the internal amp to go to my external amps.

just asking. I love my setup right now, but I may have to switch to something simpler. Getting my suspension and it may ruin my cd player.

In dash tape with in dash 6-disc cd changer by Eclipse and matching Eclipse eq below....changer is very sensitive. I have already gotten cds stuck inside just by hitting bumps, but i think it will get worse once i get my suspension on. It's too bad, cause i love the setup as it is.
