to keep the dome light all you have to do is connect two pins with a piece of wire. i had a diagram somewhere. you don't need to stuff the stock one behind the dash unless you have keyless entry.

Default 99 Civic radio/cassette player in a 97

Hello Folks

Is it possible to fit the OEM 99 Civic sedan radio and cassette player in a 97 sedan. I am selling mine for $20 on ebay and someone asked this question. I believe it can be fit...even with the same wiring and harness.

Any ideas? a picture is attached.

geeze, this must've been on of the first threads in the forum after the last crash :chuckles:

the deck will fit, but you have to remove the pocket and the stuff on the sides. But it'll work. The harness's are identical.

I've got an eXcelon X879. Or something like that. I had the Sirius tuner and antenna installed too. I haven't listened to the radio since. It's been 2 months now. I'm planning on getting the antenna block off plate.

babygirl you said you replaced it an in dash replacement what year or does anyknow/ I'm looking to put in a aftermarket system and dont know what to look for for parts.
