Connecting the antena wire from the amp to the ignition switch ok?

But you're forgetting that on those particular designs there are TWO lines, so you still have your constant amp trigger. You're not hooking up the amps to the antenna line, you hook it to the constant.

My connection which says Antenna on it when I got this amp in 97 Jensen is just a remote turn off/on. Alot of radios have the power antenna connection for a power antenna which turns on the moment the radio turns on and the same when off. Not all power antennas shut off when you go into cd/tape mode. Im sure the majority of power antennas still stay up and have power when even in cd/tape mode cause if they didn't then that stick would just go up and down every time you switch modes.

Yes, if you have just one blue line it is constantly on, so you can run your amps to it.
