How do you like the Sony MEX-5DI? I like the concept where you can put your own pictures in, but I heard split things about Sony car audio products.

Job perks are good, but knowing the owner of a professional stereo shop have better perks. Nice deck and descent system. Get a 12in kicker L7 and it will make you wish you never got that RF sub. There is a guy i know who has 2 of them, and Eclipse deck and full MB quart Q series speakers in is 98 civic thats hitting 130+ db all courtesy of perks of the job.

The sound from it is great, sounds better than the 2 Sony's that I had in it before adn the Kenwood I just had. THe Kenwood that was in there had to worst sound out of the HU's I've had.

The headunit looks nice, but I'm not a huge sony fan. I don't dislike their headunits though, jsut speakers & amps.

The Rockford stuff however, I'll just shut up about. :P

Just don't leave your system on while the car is off and you should be fine. On my old system the radio used to "blink" and fade to the beat from the sub, but now with an separate amp running it the radio doesn't blink. When I say blink, I mean the radio would cut off (power) and cut back on. No such problem with this set up.

another bb employee here....lots of us at HAN

anyways how are your amps mounted to the beackseat like that?
im thinking about doing that with mine but isnt there just metal strips behind the carpeting?

will.....the RS3 sells for like $500 and they temporarily disabled the employee discount on it, until after Christmas...from what Ive heard anyways. But before they did that I checked it out, and it was like $150 or so.
