Maybe try Infinity reference or Polk EX series components... reasonably priced and still sound good... If anything needs to be modded, it would be the plastic "basket" the mid-bass mounts into... the rear would need to be trimmed off to accept the larger magnet... which is typical of almost all honda's.

oh yea most def Infinity references and kappas would fit. and yes you're going to have to cut the basket for ur 2 6.5". Where u planning to place the tweeters tho? Some advice...place them on the door panel and face them towards you. If you put them where the stock tweeters are, you'll hear nothing! Infinitys' go from $100 for the reference to no more than $200 for the kappas. To me there's no difference. I'd also look into MA audio or JL audio components.

I would strongly suggest the Kappas over the reference series. I had the reference series, and the highs are pretty good, but there is absolutely no midbass. I'm very happy with my Kappa's right now, and I don't think they're much more than the reference series.

well yea there's about a $50-75 difference between the two. When i tested both out, i couldn't tell the difference. The mid from the reference and the nakamichi's work well together. But it does sound a lot better when running a 4 channel amp to them

Be super careful with the speakers you pick. MY first set of aftermarket was the diamond hex in my 6th gen and it scratched the window. Professionals my ASS! Charge me 100 bcuks and do that **** to my car. Needless to say make them pay for it if they **** up your car. And yes they did put a piece of mdf between the speaker and the door.

well most stores are SUPPOSE to take precautions. but ok...not them. haha the most important thing when installing components is the place of the crossover and the spkr wires. Before u disconnect switches and remove the door panel, wut u want to do is roll down the window. That way when placing the crossover, you have a good idea of where not to put it. In regards to the spkr wiring, you might want to tape it down to the chasis of the door or something. Test it out cuz u don't wanna end up like vthondaboi.

They glued the crossover inside the door next to the window. A bit nifty but when i uninstalled then i notice that they rusted a little bit. With my new speakers my crossovers sit in the trunk.
