i run my Rockford t500.2 off of my accord with 4 guage wiring. I have had it for about 6 months powering a RE 15in XXX. No problems with power for me. so your p500.2 is going to put out 2000 peak? I find that hard to believe. RFs are severely underrated in the power series but i don't know about the punch series. t500.2 birthsheet says 1024rms ...

purple chronic man, That birth sheet is in a lab in a perfect enviroment, cool temp. Its not tested in a car that has a motor running, accesories running and such, And in the lab it recieves 14 volts flat. Your car is not going to provide that straight unless you mod it for that

there's is no way in hell a p500.2 will put out that much power. name mix up possibly unless i'm wrong i believe the p500.2 is closer to like 700-800 rms. unless you have more then one.

it's my guess but both amp probably makes about 250x2@2ohms. so it's not that power bottom line.

if its 700 or 800 rms... you shouldnt need another battery/cap..... What i recommend is to go to a place like autozone and get your alternator tested ( usually its free/cheap). if it's on it's way out, then the alt wont be able to charge 2 batterys or a cap.

if you havent replaced your battery in the last 5 years, you can try an optima.
