If you are talking about the power cable...a cable is a cable generally speaking. The differences you see in a good quality one vs a cheaper one will be the jacket around wire and the strands of individual wire...both will mostly effect the ease of installation.

However, the size of the cable can make a big difference if you are using one that is too small for you power application. What amp and what size wire are you running?

cable is cable for the most part, some have softer jackets, some have more stands, until you get into the real high end equipment you'll never tell the difference. My personal fav is http://www.knukonceptz.com/ good price great performance, they sell on ebay for even cheaper.

Grrr. look at this site for wire too. cardomain.com If you think that your gonna expand later, weeks, month, even a year down the road make sure you at least buy 4gg wire. I started with 2gg wire just cause I knew later I would want to upgrade. When ya run your power wire its best to run it once and not have to go back untill the wire goes bad. Stay away from 8gg its just not worth the money unless its just running from a distribution point.

also ixos wires, i thought they're very hard to work with but from my experience the rockford and tsunami are very easy to work with.
