A lot of people will say that Alpines have a much better processor and EQ than the Pioneer. I cant really compare the two in that sense though. Although, I picked my current Pioneer over the 9855 because the 9855 was really hard to use. And I was not a fan of the GlideTouch. But with the Pioneer, I lack the tilt feature that I really wanted. I think the 9855 is a GREAT deck if you dont mind the GlideTouch and can get familiar with the menus.

Here is a thread started on the 9855. https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=191653

i have an alpine cda-7893 and in about a week i'm buying a cda-9855. I've had kenwoods (which are my 2nd choice), sony's (absolute shit), and that alpine was like day and night. Mine is about 4 or 5 years old i forget but so far the cda-9855 is my choice. I'm not real sure i like the glide touch either but i bet its easy to get used to after a week or so.

I know my alpine had like a 55 page novel for all teh stuff it did so that's why i'm staying with alpine. Just seems like more bang for what your spending. Well maybe not since alpine's are up there...but they are awesome.
