Default Car Security

My Car was broken into a few days ago, I think somehow they screwed up the factory alarm system in my car. Whenever I push the power lock button on my keys or inside the car it does not lock. Does anyone know how to fix it I have a 2001 honda civic ex.

If you're planning on getting a brand-name alarm at a specialty install shop (hint hint), ask them if they can deal with that while they're in there.

Firstly check your fuses.
They probably just ripped out the plug or the wires. Remove the panel under the steering wheel. The factory alarm and the keyless entry plugs in there. See if anything looks out of place.
And yes, you should get a good alarm professionally installed.
