i have the jl 6x9 and the jl 6 1/2 component system and they hit really hard off of a head unit alone. the head unit i have is the jvc 400 and it gets 200 w total
i wish i could get 350 watts out of each one of my speakers.
gotta love sony
when i put my kicker comp vrs up against my friends xplods, which get more rms than mine and a lot more max power, his sounded like they could be bought at walmart. and suprise...they can

A question on mounting an amp in the trunk...

My gen2's trunk leaks. where's the best place to put an amp, or should I put it in plastic or something to ensure it doesn't get fried?

I agree with the SONY speakers. If you dont want amps, then Sony speakers would give you all the punch you want. It has very crisp high and low, superb quality for a cheap price. Infinity is a very good brand when you use amps, otherwise, all you can hear is mid and high.

Personally I'm not impressed with Sony car audio stuff.
