Default so.....

i know i've asked this a million times, but i'm so frustrated by it..no one can help me..so i'm asked one last time

i got a led light i want to wire to my car. when the key if off the light goes on.
it has a pos. wire,
neg. wire,
ground wire,
and white wire which can hook up to ignition.

I tried hooked up the pos. and neg. to my cig. lighter ( which i thought was always constant) but that didnt work, b/c the light only came on when the key was on. ......and i'm not going to wire it directly from the battery.
so yeah.....someone told me remote line i can use for a hook up, but i only thought that remote line to the amp worked when the key was turned on..
so can someone tell me how to do this all...probably so freaking easy.!

what car is this? year model?
get a relay, SPDT relay from www.partsexpress.com 89cents each

wire it in this order:
85-ground
86-acc wire or ignition
30-one of the wire (the other one ground)
87a-12volt constant.

this way, the LED will turn on when key is off, on when key is on.

good luck!!!
