Default laptop screen???

I have a dell inspiron 7500 and the motherboard has gone bad, so i was wondering if it was possible to just use the screen itself as a video monitor and how can this be done?

That's a pretty slick idea, but your TFT screen is hard wired to your onboard video chipset. It's like, how did you plan to throw video to it without connectors?
