what size wire should i use to go from subs to amp? just regular speaker wire?

if they are good subs that rms around or above 300watts then go with 12guage speaker wire

or else 16 guage

Depends on how much current your speakers are drawing and how far your amp is from the sub. 16 gauge should be fine.

I try and use 12 gauge wire for subs. 14 Guage if I'm out of 12 gauge, but no smaller in my systems.
