"alpine type X" speakers are the top of the line for Alpine. Type R is the next best thing but if you have the money go for the Type X...boy i wish i could have those hehe. Oh and size wise, the 5 and 1/4 would be easier to install but the 6.5 should fit fine, you may have to cut though around the door panel speaker to make the 6.5's fit. I'm not sure I installed 5 and 1/4 on a 94 accord and I had to cut like an inch or so. I have a 2000 teg too and it looks like the 6.5's would be the best way to go.

There are really two Type X lines - the SPX-F is second inline to the SPX-Z lineup - aka F#1 Status.

Drivers are essentially tweaked Scan Speak Revelators built to Alpine's specs.

Type S
Type R
Type X
