Can anyone out there help????
I purchased an Acura head unit from a salvage yard for my Integra. The unit came with code, but it does not work. I have been to all three Acura dealerships close to me and they all say the same thing:"Can not help you."
They will not give out the code to anyone unless they are the registered owner of the vehicle. The car is a block now and I'm stuck with a nice paperweight. Does anyone know how to bypass the eeprom chip or to get the code from Acura Canada???

thought that the forum would be a good place for answers.

pulled the eeprom chip and replaced with another worked like a charm.

 

Get the serial number off the back of the radio and then go to a dealership and they will hook you up with the code. You don't even have to remove the radio, just take the center console off and look up in there. That's what I did because mine didn't come with a code either.

 

:screwy: I contacted the Acura dealers around me and they all had the same reply:"Sorry, can't help you. The radio didn't come out of your car."
The dealers around me are very proprietary of the codes and will not give them out. Thanks for the suggestion.
