all alpines monitor/decks are awesome... even the first one they came out with was really nice.

Alpine is a personal favorite of mine, because their products have always been good to me and they always seem to get better, which most other brands go down-hill over time because the companies want to make more money. IMO pioneer was always just a middle of the road brand... nothing special, but nothin bad.

 

I am a alpine love also.. i have the cva 1003.... i noticed that the pioneer model has a built in dvd player and price wise runs around the same price as the alpine unit, and the alpine doesnt have a built in dvd player, but does have a tv tuner. me personally, i will stick with alpine. IMO i also dont think pioneer is too impressive, when i say alpine its like a jump kick to your head lol.

 

one more comparsion the alpine iva-900 or the pioneer avh-p6500dvd i am planning on gettin one of these units in a few months

 

go with alpine... 7' screen compared to a 6.5"... plus... its a alpine. lol

 

one more question hopefully when i first hooked up my ps2 to the avh-p6400 i hooked up the audio output in the wrong spot and the picture was fine just no sound so i hooked them up in the right spot and now i have sound but there is white lines goin through the screen when it plays but i do not have white lines when i have it on another source how do i fix this?

 

i just plunked my ps2 under my passenger seat, works fine for me....
