Default deal with Installation shop!!!!!!!!

Hi, this may sound like a noobie question but i honestly need your opinion!!!

here is my story: i justed brought a used amp (audison LXR4.300) from ebay...the seller told me that the amp was used about 30hrs...but the problem is that the tag of amp (the one sticker that contain the amp SN#) at the bottom of the amp was scratched!!!! I don't believe that its stolen because were was no mark on the mounting hold except for only one, so i dont it was ripped out of someone car!!! anyway, i planned to let the local audio shop do my system installation because it was more than a simple amps installation.

Here is my question: Would the local audio shop care and questioned me about why the tag of the amp was scratched???
I can;t install the whole system by myself because its complex and i'm lack of experience!
Sorry, i worried because i don't want to held responsible for the ebay seller

Please give me your opinions of how you think about this, and how the shop would do, and its greatly appreciated!!

thank you, and thanks in advance!!!!

I don't think the audio shop would really care about that. Any shop would do the install without a problem. Just make sure you choose a reputable shop and try to make sure they don't do a crappy job on the wiring.

Because if it did come out to be a stolen product, the shop that installed it could be questioned and held accountable for certain things. It's like if you steal a car and then bring it to the dealer to have the ignition switch and steering column repaired after you have torn off the VIN stamp on the dash. Sure, they could repair the column and ignition switch like new and would love to charge the labor. But would they? Catch my drift?
