Default Header installation

I'm going to pick up a SS DC header probably at the end of this week and I have a couple of questions:

1. Is the installation easily done with basic tools and a jack?
2. What are potential problems with a self installation?

A friend of mine says that he will install the header. He installed his header on his 90-something civic. Should I trust him with the installation or should I pay my shop $50 to istall it for me?

Thanks guys

DIY!!!!!! you will appreciate the time and effort you put into making your car the way you want it.

if i remember correctly the hardest thing about the install is relocating the O2 sensor from the manifold. mine was torqued in pretty tight and it takes an odd sized wrench. other than that all you should need is a couple of ramps or jack stands, a 10mm and a 12mm wrench and socket, and i think it's either a 19mm or 21mm wrench for the O2 sensor. other than that it's pretty easy.

Is the problem removing the O2 sensor from the stock manifold, or is it relocating it onto the new header. My friend said that he had to reroute the O2 sensor or something like that....can't remeber.

getting it out of the exhaust manifold is the hard part. the DC header comes with an extension wire to relocate the O2 sensor.
