clipping happens when you're underpowering the speakers and the amplifier chops off the top and bottom of the sound wave that's being sent to your speakers.

Do you know anything about Low Pass Filter and High Pass Filter? I have my HPF set at 50Hz and and my LPF set at 80Hz +6. I know it is different on different head units but I want to know if having it at +6 will cause my speakers to blow?

Kind of O.T. This is a question for anyone who has a sub or subs. What volume do you have it at when you are listening at a normal volume? and what volume when you have the sub pumping?
I listen to it at 14 for normal volume and when I want it to pump I turn it up to atleast 25.

On my head unit I have a setting that says select bass frequency. Does anybody know what that should be set at? There are 4 options 40-63-100-160 (Hz)
