Subwoofer Question?
I recently purchased a 1000 Watt Polk 12" MOMO Subwoofer and a Polk Momo 850 Watt 2 channel Amp. If you are wondering why I got a 2 channel amp, don't worry I am going to have it bridged to 550x1. I am wondering if that will be enough bass? Or do you think I need another sub? This is not going to be for show or anything so I am not going to go crazy on it. Please post your opinions.

This is a question for anyone who has a sub or subs. What volume do you have it at when you are listening at a normal volume? and what volume when you have the sub pumping?

If the amps for your full range are matched to the sub amp(s), it shouldn't matter... I get "normal" bass at "normal" volume, and loud bass at high volumes.
Polk 6.5 comps/ Polk 6.5 coax on Fosgate 400aIV, full stereo 4 x 50w; (2) eD10k.44 on Fosgate 800aII running mono @ 960w.
Despite the fact that the subs get 18x the power of the rest of the drivers, so long as the gains are matched, they'll never know-- and the sound shouldn't tell you either.

EDIT: Do you know anything about Low Pass Filter and High Pass Filter? I have my HPF set at 50Hz and and my LPF set at 80Hz +6. I know it is different on different head units but I want to know if having it at +6 will cause my speakers to blow?

Normal volume for me is 14 and when I want my subs to pump I turn it up to 25-30
