If the amps for your full range are matched to the sub amp(s), it shouldn't matter... I get "normal" bass at "normal" volume, and loud bass at high volumes.

Despite the fact that the subs get 18x the power of the rest of the drivers, so long as the gains are matched, they'll never know-- and the sound shouldn't tell you either.
