Default CD Problems on 2000 Accord EX

My wife's 2000 Accord EX cd player has stopped playing cds. She gets some sort of error code (PEO) or something like that. Honda says to take it to the radio shop and the radio shop says to take it to Honda.

Any idea how to fix it? If not, does anyone have a 2000-02 EX radio that they'd like to sell?

Thanks!

if it is still covered by the warranty, just ask honda to fix it for ya or at least check it out. i also have a 00 accord, but i never had a problem with my radio.

If it is a stock radio, look at you manual, according to Honda all OEM Radio equipment has a lifetime warranty, take that ish back to Honda.

Default Out of warranty

The car has over 50k, so it's out of warranty. I didn't notice anything about a lifetime warranty on radios in the manual, but I also only have a 1998 manual because that was all they could find when we bought the car used (3k on it).

I'm going to try a cd cleaner first to see if just the laser is dirty. The wife would really like to get the 2001 or 2002 radio because it holds 6 discs (in dash) and has a cassette.

Thanks for the help!

But if you don't feel like paying anything just take it back to Honda. Maybe a recall or something?
