how would the stock rear discs help in auto-x? If I were to use better pads? I went today, and I feel as though the brakes work pretty damn good, but I was just curious...

I'm not sure the stock rear disks would help. The drums have a larger surface area for contact then the non-vented disks ever had. The drums are prone to heat soak but I think since the Cord is a healthy 3000 lbs beast even the stock disc set-up isn't much help. I'm still sticking with, if you got drums just keep them.

I was thinking about getting a big brake kit of some sort and putting the front on the back when my brakes need updates. I wonder if I could use the front setup or at least the disks on the back.

I doubt it would work since the rear wheels don't steer :dunno:
