Default vehicle speed sensor???

ok, right now my car is acting up pretty weird... when i bought my car 2 years ago i had the speedometer cluster replaced because the speedo was off and on... well 2 years later, its happening again ... well sometimes the speedo goes way up and then way down, ill be going 35mph and the speedo reads 120+... well then the D4 light begins to flash and it dosent stop till i restart the car. now ive been putting up with this for about a month now, and last night the car began to shift very weirdly... can someone please give me a diagnosis??? anything will help... could it be the speed sensor???

Sounds like electrical gremlins. Those are the worst--unless the exact senario happened to anyone else its nearly impossible for us to diagnose. First try a local Autozone or part store that runs free ODB coding for you. That should say if your car is throwing codes as to what is wrong. If not, sounds like the Honda dealer would be your best shot. I know there is a plug on the tranny that tells the speedo how fast your are going but not sure what all funtions it controls, sorry.

i just got off the phone with my friends dad and told him what the problem was and he told me that it was most likely what i thought, the speed sensor. the great thing was that he has a few used ones at his house in his shop, and that he would give me one and fix it!!! so i guess i got that one fixed!!!
