Default brake problem....

OK to make a long story short....I got my rotors and brake pads replaced about a month ago. There was a "problem" getting the front passenger side rotor off so I ended up having to pay for a new front axle and bearings on that side. (stripped screws or something)

Well the brakes work fine....but whenever I slightly tap the brakes the front passenger wheel continuously squeaks. When I hit them hard it doesn't. Also, after about 2 minutes of driving, it squeaks when I'm not hitting the brakes at all.....it is so freakin annoying and embarassing. It is most noticable going between 10 - 40 mph.

It's like you can hear every time the wheel goes around cause the timing of it varies with speed. Does anyone know what it could be? Or if I could possibly fix this myself?

And sometimes when I hit a small bump on that side there is a slight rattle.....

I can give more details if necessary

It is definatly a sqeaking noise.....

When I am just cruising, not hitting the brakes, it does it like 1-3 times a second. When easing on the brake and even when letting off it does it much faster......but no sound when I hit them decently hard.

Also the longer I drive and use the brakes....the more noticable it gets. (like as the rotors get hot?)

Take your car back and tell them fix it... Sounds like they just didnt adjust your brakes good or the pads rub or somthing...

Well I already took it back once because of the clanking sound whenever I hit a bump. They tightened the caliper and the sound went away for the most part but I still hear it. I just don't want to waste another day off and deal with them again.....

Don't stop taking it back until they get the problems you are having fully corrected. If you wait, you vould find out that the shop was responsible for a repair that could cost you several hundred dollars.

sounds like it would have been easier to do it yourself. i changed mine last month.. i hate taking my car in. if you want something done right.. do it yourself.

i know not all people can or have the time. its a pain in the ass but, take it back in till it gets done right. you dont go to a mechanic and pay for a crappy job.

Aftermarket brake pads are going to squeal more than Honda OEM brakes. Its been covered many times on here.

The sound might go away after a while, if the brake job is recent.
Or maybe they didnt apply anti squeak lube to the backing of the pads.
